College Football Forecast — Saturday, October 31, 2026

Good Saturday morning, college football fans — it is a late-October game day across most of the country, with sunshine and comfortable fall temperatures in the East, Midwest, and South, and a few spots where weather is part of the game plan.
The best seats in the house are in the East and the South. Delaware and New Jersey both enjoy sunny skies with highs near 60, Maryland is mostly sunny near 63, and Virginia is mostly sunny near 64. Texas is mostly cloudy near 72, Kentucky mostly cloudy near 76, and Alabama near 77 — great tailgating weather.
Now for the spots where weather changes the game. Alaska is the roughest ticket in the country — widespread snow showers, a high of only 24, and a 92 percent chance of precipitation, so expect a slick field and cold stands. Colorado and Idaho both bring snow showers, with highs near 49 and 44. California sees light rain likely at 74 percent, and Nebraska sees rain showers likely at 70 percent, so both could mean a wet field and slippery ball handling.
Thunderstorms are in play in the Southeast. Florida reaches 86 with showers and thunderstorms possible and winds at 21 miles per hour, which can affect the kicking game. Louisiana hits 82 with showers and thunderstorms, and Mississippi and Utah also carry a storm chance, so coaches should keep the lightning safety plan handy. Nevada and Wyoming are the windy ones to watch, at 25 and 23 miles per hour — kickers, take note.
Hawaii's forecast was unavailable at publish time. Wherever you are watching today, dress for the weather and stay weather-aware. That is the TNW News college football forecast, every Saturday morning.
