North Carolina Governor Declares State of Emergency as Hurricane Threat Builds

RALEIGH, N.C. — North Carolina Governor George Steinman has declared a State of Emergency as the state braces for the potential impacts of Tropical Storm Imelda.
In his latest statement, Steinman said:
“North Carolina must be prepared to act swiftly. This State of Emergency ensures every resource is available to protect our people and communities.”
