HURRICANE ERIN – LATEST TRACK AND IMPACTS

BURLINGTON, VT – TNW News Hurricane Operations Division is providing a live update on Hurricane Erin, currently intensifying as it approaches its closest point north of the Leeward Islands.

Current Position & Observatory Data (Advisory 18A – 8:00 PM AST):

• Location: Approximately 19.4° N, 58.5° W — about 310 miles east-northeast of the northern Leeward Islands National Hurricane CenterTrack The Tropics.
• Max Sustained Winds: 85 mph (Category 1 hurricane, ~140 km/h) National Hurricane CenterTrack The Tropics.
