ā ļø LOW PRESSURE THREAT NEAR SOUTHEAST U.S. COAST
The National Hurricane Center continues to monitor a low-pressure area that could develop near the Southeast U.S. Atlantic or Gulf coasts this weekend along a weakening frontal boundary.
š Development outlook:
āŖ A tropical or subtropical depression could form this weekend or early next week as the system drifts northward or northeastward.
āŖ Formation chance: Medium (40% in next 7 days)
š§ļø Impacts regardless of development:
āŖ Heavy rainfall possible across parts of the Southeast U.S.
āŖ West-central Florida coast remains at risk for significant rain
āŖ Potential for strong surf, coastal flooding, localized wind gusts
šØ TNW Advisory for Florida Residents & Visitors:
āŖ Have all paperwork and essential medications ready
āŖ Charge electric vehicles 95%+ during hurricane season
āŖ Gas vehicles: Keep tanks full
āŖ Generators: Gas-powered units must stay outside the living area; solar generators can be inside when in use but charge outside in direct sun
āŖ Follow only official evacuation orders from your local government

š New low south of southwestern Mexico:
