The National Hurricane Center (NHC) is tracking a trough of low pressure expected to:
Form near the Southeast U.S. coast in 24ā48 hours
Move westward across Florida early this week
Enter the northeastern Gulf of Mexico by Tuesday
While currently disorganized, environmental conditions could support gradual development mid-to-late week.
FORMATION OUTLOOK:
Next 48 hours: Near 0%
Next 7 days: 20% (Low)
FLOODING CONCERNS:
Regardless of tropical development, heavy rainfall is likely for:
The Florida Peninsula
The north-central Gulf Coast (mid-to-late week)
Localized flash flooding is possible, especially in low-lying and poorly drained areas.
