🚁 Recon aircraft data confirms Barry has strengthened into a tropical storm.
📍 Location: About 90 mi (140 km) ESE of Tuxpan, Mexico
🌬 Winds: Max sustained 40 mph (65 km/h), higher gusts
➡ Motion: NW at 6 mph (9 km/h)
📈 Forecast:
▪ Landfall expected later today/tonight on the east coast of Mexico
▪ Heavy rains through several days across eastern Mexico
▪ Rapid weakening post-landfall
🌊 Tropical-storm-force winds extend 35 mi (55 km) from center.
