āš ļø TROPICAL OUTLOOK: INVEST AL93 MOVES WEST ACROSS FLORIDA PANHANDLE

A broad area of low pressure, designated Invest 93L (AL93), is currently moving westward across the Florida Panhandle between Tallahassee and Panama City. Surface and radar observations show that this system remains disorganized, with shower and thunderstorm activity largely displaced south and southwest of the center.

šŸ”„ DEVELOPMENT POTENTIAL

  • The system could redevelop or emerge into the northeastern to north-central Gulf later today or tonight.
  • If it moves far enough offshore, conditions over the Gulf of Mexico will be generally favorable for further development.
  • A tropical depression could still form before the system moves fully inland by late Thursday or Friday.

šŸ“Š Formation Chances:

  • Next 48 Hours: Medium – 40%
  • Next 7 Days: Medium – 40%

šŸŒ§ļø IMPACTS & RISK AREAS

šŸ“ Florida:

  • Heavy rainfall continues today across parts of the Panhandle.
  • Localized flash flooding remains a concern.

šŸ“ North-Central Gulf Coast (including Louisiana & Mississippi):

  • Rainfall threat begins late Wednesday, intensifies through Friday.
  • Flood risk zones likely to expand as updated WPC forecasts are issued.
  • Isolated totals may exceed 6 inches, with moderate to high risk of flash flooding.

🚨 PUBLIC ADVISORY

Residents from the Florida Panhandle to southern Louisiana are urged to:

  • Closely monitor local forecasts
  • Be prepared for flood advisories and warnings
