President Trump Declares Major Disaster in Kerr County, Texas Amid Deadly Flooding

President Donald J. Trump has signed a Major Disaster Declaration for Kerr County, Texas, ensuring that brave first responders have immediate access to critical resources as devastating floods continue to impact the region.

ā€œThese families are enduring an unimaginable tragedy, with many lives lost and many still missing,ā€ said President Trump. The declaration follows catastrophic flooding that has affected communities, including the loss of life at a weekend summer camp.

The Trump administration is working closely with state and local leaders on response and recovery efforts. Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem was on the ground yesterday alongside Governor Greg Abbott, who is working tirelessly to support the people of his state.

Federal and state agencies, including the U.S. Coast Guard and state first responders, have already saved more than 850 lives in affected areas.
