President Trump Declares Emergency for Texas Flood Disaster
President Donald J. Trump, in coordination with Texas Governor Greg Abbott, has declared a state of emergency in response to catastrophic floodwaters that have claimed lives, including fatalities at a weekend summer camp.
The emergency declaration will activate federal assistance, bringing additional resources and security teams — many of whom are already on the ground — to support affected Texas communities.
According to a statement earlier this week from Homeland Security Director Kristi Noem, federal and state agencies are working closely to ensure swift response and recovery efforts.
Governor Abbott is scheduled to hold a press conference in one hour. TNW News will provide live coverage on Facebook Live and X (formerly Twitter).
