The National Weather Service office in Northern Indiana has extended a Flood Warning for the Wabash River near Linn Grove, covering Adams and Wells counties in northeastern Indiana.

WHAT: Minor flooding is occurring along the river and is expected to continue. Forecasters say minor flooding is likely to persist through the warning period.

WHERE: The Wabash River near Linn Grove, affecting Adams and Wells counties. The Saint Marys River near Decatur is also under a related warning for Adams County and neighboring areas.

WHEN: The extended warning was issued Thursday evening, September 24, and runs through Saturday, September 26.

WHAT TO DO: Never drive through flooded roadways — most flood deaths happen in vehicles. Turn around and find another route. Do not drive around barricades. Be extra cautious after dark, when it is harder to recognize flooded roads. Check on neighbors near the river and move valuables to higher ground if you live in a flood-prone area.
