Light snow is falling across parts of the Plains, while the southern edge of the system is producing sleet and freezing rain in portions of Oklahoma and Arkansas.
- Oklahoma City: Icy bridges and overpasses reported
- Kansas City: Snow-covered roads causing multiple wrecks
- Travel conditions are rapidly deteriorating where snow and ice overlap
Winter Alerts From Plains To Northeast
The National Weather Service has issued:
- Winter Weather Advisories from the Plains through the Midwest, Appalachians, and parts of the Northeast
- Winter Storm Watches from northeast Pennsylvania to Maine
⚠ These watches signal the potential for heavier snowfall, but the immediate I-95 corridor from Boston southward is not currently included.
