President Trump Expands Federal Disaster Declaration at Governor Beshearās Request
š FRANKFORT, Ky. ā Kentucky residents who lost work due to April's devastating severe storms now have access to Disaster Unemployment Assistance (DUA), thanks to a federal disaster declaration approved by President Donald Trump and expanded at the request of Governor Andy Beshear.
The original disaster declaration, signed on April 24, has now been amended (May 14) to include an additional 24 counties, making a total of 37 counties eligible for DUA.
āThis expansion ensures that more Kentuckians who lost jobs, income, or work access because of these storms can get the help they need to recover,ā said Gov. Beshear.
DUA is available to individuals who:
