Lafayette County, Arkansas — The National Weather Service in Shreveport has issued a Tornado Warning for south central Lafayette County in southwestern Arkansas and northwestern Bossier Parish in northwestern Louisiana, in effect until 11:45 AM CST on Tuesday, November 3.

What is happening: A severe thunderstorm capable of producing a tornado was located near Plain Dealing, about 18 miles southwest of Springhill, at 10:55 AM CST. The storm is moving northeast at 25 miles per hour, and radar shows rotation within it.

Local impacts: Flying debris will be dangerous to anyone caught without shelter. Mobile homes could be damaged or destroyed, and roofs, windows, and vehicles are at risk from the storm.

What to do:

- Move to an interior room on the lowest floor of a well-built building, away from windows.

- If you are outdoors, in a mobile home, or in a vehicle, move to the closest substantial shelter and protect yourself from flying debris.

- Stay away from windows and do not try to outrun the storm in a vehicle.
