**What is happening:** The National Weather Service in Tucson has issued a Severe Thunderstorm Warning for Pima County in southeastern Arizona, in effect until 5:15 PM Arizona time tonight. At 4:41 PM, radar tracked a severe thunderstorm over East Sahuarita, moving north at 25 mph toward the Tucson metro.

**Local impacts:** 60 mph wind gusts and half-dollar-size hail. Hail damage to vehicles is expected, with wind damage to roofs, siding, and trees. Tucson, Sahuarita, Davis-Monthan Air Force Base, Drexel Heights, Vail, Corona de Tucson, and the Tucson International Airport area are in the path, along with Interstate 19, Interstate 10, and Routes 83 and 86.

**What to do:**

- Get inside a sturdy building and stay away from windows.

- Drivers on I-10 and I-19 should expect sudden downpours and hail — slow down.

- Bring outdoor furniture and trash cans inside.
