Severe Thunderstorm Warning for Navajo County Through 2:00 PM

Navajo County, AZ — The National Weather Service in Flagstaff has issued a severe thunderstorm warning for Navajo County in north central Arizona until 2:00 PM Mountain Standard Time.
**What is happening:** At 1:23 PM MST, radar showed a severe thunderstorm about 8 miles north of Teesto — roughly 16 miles north of Dilkon — moving northeast at 35 miles per hour. The warning holds through 2:00 PM MST (4:00 PM Central).
**Local impacts:** Quarter-size hail is the main threat, and damage to vehicles is expected. Jeddito sits in the path, and the storm also covers State Route 264 between mile markers 405 and 409. A tornado watch stays in effect for parts of north central Arizona until 6:00 PM MST.
**What to do:**
- Seek shelter inside a sturdy building and stay away from windows — this storm can produce large hail.
- If you are on the road, pull over and stop well clear of traffic until the hail passes.
- Keep a way to get new warnings handy — a tornado watch means conditions favor tornadoes.
