## What is happening:

The National Weather Service in Las Vegas has issued a Severe Thunderstorm Warning for west central Mohave County in northwestern Arizona, in effect until 4:45 PM MST Monday.

At 3:56 PM MST, a severe thunderstorm was located about 7 miles south of Meadview — roughly 42 miles east of Boulder City — moving northeast at 25 mph. Radar shows this storm is capable of damaging winds, and forecasters warn that tornadoes can spin up quickly from storms like this one.

## Local impacts:

- Wind gusts up to 60 mph — strong enough to knock down tree limbs and toss loose objects.

- Small hail falling with the storm.

- Meadview and surrounding areas of west central Mohave County are in the storm's path as it tracks northeast.

- Get inside a sturdy building now and stay away from windows.

- Move to an interior room on the lowest floor — that is your safest spot if a tornado forms.
