Flash Flood Warning for Yavapai County Through Noon

Yavapai County, Arizona — The National Weather Service in Flagstaff has issued a Flash Flood Warning for Yavapai County in west central Arizona, in effect until noon MST today, November 1.
What is happening: Radar and automated rain gauges show heavy rain falling across the warned area, with between 1.5 and 2.5 inches already measured. Flash flooding is underway or about to begin.
Local impacts: Forecasters warn of life-threatening flash flooding of creeks and streams, normally dry washes, urban areas, highways, streets, and underpasses. Dirt roads will turn muddy and impassable, and paved roads and underpasses could go under water as well.
What to do:
- Do not drive on flooded roads. Turn around, do not drown.
- Avoid low water crossings, which turn dangerous fast in heavy rain.
- Stay out of washes and creeks.
- If water is rising around you, get to higher ground immediately.
