Kleberg County, Texas — The National Weather Service in Corpus Christi has issued a Flash Flood Warning for southeastern Kleberg County in south central Texas, in effect until 3:30 PM Central Time today, Sunday, November 8.

What is happening:

Doppler radar shows heavy rain falling across the warned area. Between 1 and 3 inches of rain have already fallen, and another 1 to 3 inches could fall before the warning ends. Flash flooding is already happening in places and is expected to begin shortly in others. Malaquite Beach is among the spots that will see flash flooding.

Local impacts:

Flash flooding can hit small creeks and streams, city streets, highways and underpasses, and low-lying spots with poor drainage. Water can rise fast on roads and in areas that normally drain slowly.
