The warning took effect at 6:05 AM CDT after river gauges confirmed flash flooding is already occurring on the Paria River near US-89.

**What is happening:** The Paria River from just north of US-89 south to the Utah-Arizona border, including Paria Canyon, is flooding right now. Gauge reports at 6:05 AM CDT showed water rising fast on the Paria, and flash flooding of creeks and streams in the warned area is already underway.

- Move to higher ground immediately if you see water rising around you.

- If you are camping or hiking near the Paria River or any wash or creek in Kane County, get out of the drainage and climb to high ground now.
