Flash Flood Warning for Iron, Kane and Washington Counties Through 11:30 AM CT

Iron County, Utah —
**What is happening:**
A Flash Flood Warning covers southeastern Iron County, northwestern Kane County and east central Washington County through 11:30 AM CT, from the National Weather Service in Salt Lake City. Radar shows heavy-rain thunderstorms with a quarter to half an inch already down and up to another inch on the way. Flash flooding is ongoing or expected shortly.
**Local impacts:**
Life-threatening flash flooding is possible for creeks and streams, urban areas, highways, streets and underpasses. The warned zone includes Zion National Park, Apple Valley, Springdale and Kanarraville.
**What to do:**
- Turn around, don't drown at flooded roads — most flood deaths happen in cars.
- Hikers and campers should stay out of slot canyons, washes and streams.
- Flooding can strike even where the sun is out — washes carry water from storms far away.
