Flash Flood Warning for Caguas, Puerto Rico Through 4:45 PM AST

Breaking news alert for flash flood warning in Puerto Rico.

Caguas, Puerto Rico — The National Weather Service in San Juan has issued a Flash Flood Warning for Caguas, Puerto Rico, in effect until 4:45 PM AST on Wednesday, November 4, 2026.

What is happening:

Thunderstorms are producing heavy rain across Caguas, and Doppler radar shows between 1 and 2 inches of rain have already fallen in the warned area. Another 1 to 3 inches of rain are possible before the warning ends. Flash flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly.

Local impacts:

Flash flooding of small creeks and streams, urban areas, highways, streets and underpasses is possible. Low-water crossings in hilly terrain are especially dangerous in heavy rain, and flooded roads can become life-threatening fast.

What to do:

- Turn around, do not drown. Never drive through a flooded road.

- Do not try to cross flooded roads on foot or in a vehicle. Find another route.

- If you see water rising around you, get to higher ground immediately.

- Stay away from creeks, streams and drainage areas during heavy rain.

- Report flooding to local emergency services when you can do so safely.
