Flash Flood Warning for Burlington, Camden and Gloucester Counties Through 10:15 AM

Breaking news alert for flash flood warning in New Jersey counties.

Burlington County, New Jersey — The National Weather Service in Mount Holly has issued a Flash Flood Warning for central Burlington, Camden and Gloucester counties in southern New Jersey, in effect until 10:15 AM EST on Friday, November 6, 2026.

What is happening:

Thunderstorms are dropping heavy rain across the warned area, and Doppler radar shows between 1 and 2 inches of rain have already fallen. Rain is coming down at a rate of 1.5 to 2.5 inches per hour, and another 1 to 2 inches are possible before the storms move through. Flash flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly in the warned counties.

Local impacts:

Flash flooding can hit small creeks and streams, city streets, highways and underpasses, and other low-lying spots that drain poorly. Some places in the path of the heaviest rain include Cherry Hill, Evesham, Mount Laurel, Deptford, Voorhees, Medford, West Deptford, Glassboro, Lindenwold, Lumberton and Bellmawr.

What to do:

  • Turn around, do not drown. Never drive through a flooded road — most flood deaths happen in vehicles.

  • - If you come to water covering the road, find another way. It only takes a few inches of fast-moving water to carry a car away.

  • - Move to higher ground right away if water starts rising around you.

  • - Stay out of creeks, streams and drainage ditches, and keep children away from floodwater.
