Flash Flood Warning for Brown and Coleman Counties Through 6:15 AM

Brown and Coleman Counties, Texas —


A Flash Flood Warning is in effect for northwestern Brown County and northeastern Coleman County through 6:15 AM CDT Thursday.


What is happening: Thunderstorms have been pushing heavy rain over west central Texas overnight; National Weather Service in San Angelo radar showed heavy rain at about 3:08 AM, up to 4 inches already down in some spots.


Local impacts: flash flooding of small creeks, urban areas, low-lying roads; creeks may keep rising after rain eases.


What to do: never drive through a flooded road; if you see water rising around you, get to higher ground immediately; extra caution at night; stay out of creeks and drainage areas.
