Despite these efforts, containment remains a challenge as gusts exceeding 100 mph hinder aerial and ground operations.
“We are facing one of the most catastrophic fire events in recent memory,” Governor Newsom stated. “Emergency teams are working tirelessly to protect lives and property.”
